Incoloy®825 alloy is a universal corrosion resistant alloy, which has high corrosion resistance to acid and alkali metals in both oxidizing and reducing environments. The high nickel composition makes the alloy highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking.

      825 alloys resist corrosion in a variety of media, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and organic acids, and alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solutions. Higher overall performance is demonstrated in nuclear combustion dissolvers with a variety of corrosive media, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and sodium hydroxide, all treated in the same facility.
